Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, cayenne, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro.
Notes
For a spicier chili, increase the cayenne pepper. Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream for extra flavor.
