  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 can cream of celery soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots 32 oz
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble the ground beef with the chopped onion until the beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Mix well to combine the ingredients.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  • Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Notes

This dish can also be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator overnight for an easy, make-ahead meal.
