Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, grated ginger, brown sugar, minced garlic, vegetable oil, and black pepper.
Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off.
Cook steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness.
Rest steak for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve hot.
Notes
This ginger soy marinade enhances the natural flavor of flank steak. Great served with steamed rice or sautéed vegetables.
