Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
Slice the chicken sausage into 1/2 inch pieces and add to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 6-7 minutes.
Add spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3 minutes.
Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
You can substitute chicken sausage with turkey sausage for a leaner option. Serve with rice or crusty bread for a complete meal.
