  • 4 cups sweet potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 0.33 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecans chopped

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, boil sweet potatoes in water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, milk, eggs, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and flour. Add chopped pecans and stir until well combined.
  • Sprinkle pecan mixture evenly over sweet potato mixture.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the topping is lightly browned.

Notes

For a creamier texture, you can add a touch more milk. Adjust sugar to taste based on sweetness preference.
