Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large pot, boil sweet potatoes in water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash.
In a mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, milk, eggs, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and flour. Add chopped pecans and stir until well combined.
Sprinkle pecan mixture evenly over sweet potato mixture.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the topping is lightly browned.
Notes
For a creamier texture, you can add a touch more milk. Adjust sugar to taste based on sweetness preference.
