  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 cups fresh spinach washed and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook the fettuccine pasta until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
  • While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, around 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer gently for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss well to coat all pasta evenly.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

This dish pairs wonderfully with a light white wine and a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
