  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.25 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Mint Yogurt Dip

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, parsley, cumin, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Shape the mixture into small oval-shaped koftas about 2 inches long.
  • Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the koftas for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the mint yogurt dip by mixing Greek yogurt, chopped mint, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl.
  • Serve the koftas hot with the mint yogurt dip on the side.
