Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak trimmed and sliced thin
  • 8 oz pasta penne or rigatoni
  • 0.75 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, toss the sliced sirloin steak with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  • Reduce heat to low. Add the honey BBQ sauce and cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated.
  • Serve immediately while hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For extra smoky flavor, grill the steak instead of pan-frying. Leftovers are great for next day lunches!
