  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground allspice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 4 wraps flatbread or pita
  • 1 cup pickled onions store-bought or homemade

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, allspice, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the lamb mixture into small sausage-shaped kofta, about 8 pieces.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the koftas for 3-4 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through.
  • Warm the flatbread or pita in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds.
  • Assemble the wraps by placing 2 koftas on each flatbread, topping with pickled onions.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with a drizzle of tzatziki or yogurt sauce.
