Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Slowly add the warm water and olive oil while stirring until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle and place it on a baking sheet.
Scatter the shredded mozzarella evenly over the dough, then top with halved cherry tomatoes and chopped fresh basil.
Sprinkle optional crushed red pepper flakes over the toppings.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, drizzle with garlic-infused olive oil before serving.
