Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut each sheet into four squares.
Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each square and fold opposite corners to the center to form a danish shape.
Mix the beaten egg with milk. Brush the edges of the pastries with this egg wash.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle powdered sugar over the danishes before serving.
