Preparation Steps
Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by lightly greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Stir in the vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt until well combined.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until all the cereal is coated.
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the caramel candies and heavy cream in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth.
Pour the caramel mixture over the Rice Krispies treats, spreading evenly with a spatula.
Sprinkle the remaining sea salt on top.
Allow the treats to cool and set, then cut into squares and serve.

These treats are best enjoyed the day they are made but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
