Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in dried lavender buds. Let steep for 15 minutes.
Strain lavender water through a fine mesh sieve to remove buds and discard them. Return lavender water to the saucepan.
Add sugar to the warm lavender water and stir until dissolved to create lavender syrup.
In a large pitcher, combine the lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, 4 cups of cold water, and ice cubes. Stir well.
Serve chilled and garnish with lemon slices or lavender sprigs if desired.
Notes
For best results, use fresh lavender and adjust sugar to taste based on lemon tartness.
