  • 6 cups water
  • 0.75 cups fresh lemon juice about 4-5 lemons
  • 0.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds culinary grade
  • 1 cup cold water to dilute
  • 4 cups ice cubes

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in dried lavender buds. Let steep for 15 minutes.
  • Strain lavender water through a fine mesh sieve to remove buds and discard them. Return lavender water to the saucepan.
  • Add sugar to the warm lavender water and stir until dissolved to create lavender syrup.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, 4 cups of cold water, and ice cubes. Stir well.
  • Serve chilled and garnish with lemon slices or lavender sprigs if desired.

Notes

For best results, use fresh lavender and adjust sugar to taste based on lemon tartness.
