  • 4 cups dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups water
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • 8 leaves fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Remove from heat and add dried hibiscus flowers. Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain the hibiscus tea into a pitcher and discard the flowers.
  • Stir in granulated sugar until dissolved, then add fresh lime juice.
  • Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For an extra twist, add a splash of sparkling water before serving for some fizz.
