Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture, mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 10 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll dough into a long rope and cut into 12 pieces. Tie each piece into a knot.
Place knots on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Mix minced garlic and chopped parsley with melted butter. Brush garlic butter over hot knots before serving.
Notes
Serve warm. These garlic knots pair perfectly with marinara sauce or as a side for Italian dishes.
