Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 0.75 cup warm water 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture, mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll dough into a long rope and cut into 12 pieces. Tie each piece into a knot.
  • Place knots on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Mix minced garlic and chopped parsley with melted butter. Brush garlic butter over hot knots before serving.

Notes

Serve warm. These garlic knots pair perfectly with marinara sauce or as a side for Italian dishes.
