  • 1.5 lb ground beef 80% lean
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs plain
  • 1 unit onion chopped
  • 1 unit green bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 unit eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese shredded
  • 8 oz provolone cheese sliced

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, green bell pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Press half of the meat mixture into a loaf pan.
  • Layer the shredded cheddar cheese over the meat.
  • Cover with the remaining meat mixture, pressing it down firmly.
  • Top the meatloaf with the slices of provolone cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the meatloaf is cooked through, about 60 minutes.
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
