Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
For the pecan pie topping, mix together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla, and pecans in a bowl.
Gently pour the pecan mixture over the brownie layer, spreading evenly.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until the topping is golden and set. Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares.
