Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Fold in the chopped pecans and spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the top with brown sugar, and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars.
