Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent.
Stir in the chopped cabbage, tomato sauce, beef broth, salt, pepper, paprika, and uncooked rice. Mix well.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 30 minutes until rice is tender and cabbage is cooked.
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once cooked, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top and serve hot.
Notes
You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat, if desired. This recipe is also delicious with a dollop of sour cream on top.
