  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
4 pieces chicken breasts, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder, 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • Place the chicken in a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until fully cooked.

  • Gradually whisk in milk, continuously stirring until the sauce thickens. Stir in cheddar cheese and smoked paprika until the cheese melts completely.
2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1.5 cups milk
  • Once the chicken is cooked, pour the cheese sauce over it just before serving.

Notes

For an extra creamy cheese sauce, you can add some cream cheese or adjust the amount of cheddar cheese to taste.
