Preparation Steps

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, water, and rice.
  • Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for about 50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the rice is tender and the mixture is thickened, remove from heat and stir in the sugar and vanilla extract.

Notes
