  • 1 pound Kielbasa sausage sliced
  • 4 cups potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup milk whole
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons parsley fresh, chopped

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced Kielbasa sausage until golden brown.
  • In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, cooked sausage, chopped onion, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, melted butter, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake. Just add 10 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the fridge.
