  • 24 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 20 pieces Oreo cookies crushed, divided
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Mix crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the springform pan to form the crust.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition until just blended.
  • Fold in sour cream and half of the remaining crushed Oreo cookies.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 60 minutes or until the center is almost set. Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining crushed Oreos on top.
  • Let cheesecake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the cheesecake to chill overnight. Garnish with whole Oreos or whipped cream before serving.
