Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
Mix crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the springform pan to form the crust.
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add vanilla extract and mix well.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition until just blended.
Fold in sour cream and half of the remaining crushed Oreo cookies.
Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top.
Bake for 60 minutes or until the center is almost set. Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining crushed Oreos on top.
Let cheesecake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For best results, allow the cheesecake to chill overnight. Garnish with whole Oreos or whipped cream before serving.
