  • 1 cup breadcrumbs plain or Italian seasoned
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix 1 oz packet
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.25 cup ketchup for topping

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, French onion soup mix, milk, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, shredded cheese, and pepper.
  • Mix all ingredients until well combined, but do not over-mix as this can make the meatloaf tough.
  • Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  • Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the loaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and juices run clear.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
