Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in salsa and black beans, and heat through.
Layer half of the crushed tortilla chips along the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Spread the beef mixture over the chips, and top with 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
Repeat layers with the remaining chips, beef mixture, and cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 25 minutes.
Notes
For extra flavor, add 1 diced red bell pepper along with the ground beef.
