  • 0.5 cup heavy cream use cold cream for best foam
  • 0.25 cup whole milk cold; 2% also works
  • 2 tbsp vanilla syrup use sugar-free if desired
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract optional, boosts vanilla flavor

Preparation Steps

  • Add heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla syrup, and vanilla extract to a chilled measuring cup or frothing pitcher.
  • Froth with a handheld milk frother for 20 to 30 seconds until thick, creamy, and flowing in ribbons. Do not overwhip to stiff peaks.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness with a little more syrup if needed.
  • Pour over iced coffee or cold brew, allowing the foam to float on top. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the most stable foam, keep all ingredients cold and use a tall container to trap air as you froth. A French press also works: pump the plunger up and down for 20 to 30 seconds. Store leftover sweet cream (un-frothed) in the fridge for up to 3 days; froth just before serving.
