Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, garlic, and ginger to prepare the teriyaki sauce.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef and bring to a simmer. Stir occasionally for 4 minutes until the beef is cooked through.
Mix the cornstarch slurry into the skillet and cook until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve the teriyaki beef strips over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes in step 1. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for extra flavor.
