Preparation Steps
Heat the mulled red wine gently in a saucepan until warm but not boiling.
Place the chocolate chips and butter in a heatproof bowl.
Pour the warm mulled wine over the chocolate and butter. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
Stir in the ground cinnamon and nutmeg until fully incorporated.
Refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour until firm enough to scoop.
Using a spoon, scoop out small balls and roll them between your hands into truffles.
Roll each truffle in cocoa powder to coat and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill the truffles for another 30 minutes before serving.

Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
