  • 0.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.75 cups Butter Softened
  • 0.75 cups Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups Pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 large Egg

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy and light.
  • Add maple syrup, vanilla extract, and egg to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Remove cookies from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For a festive touch, drizzle with white chocolate.
