Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy and light.
Add maple syrup, vanilla extract, and egg to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
Remove cookies from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For a festive touch, drizzle with white chocolate.
