  • 0.5 tsp ground allspice
  • 0.5 cup water

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot, combine apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and water.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and the apples are tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  • Transfer to airtight containers or freezer bags and freeze. The filling can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Notes

You can use a mix of apple varieties for a more complex flavor. Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of your apples.
