Instructions
Preparation Steps
Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken thighs on both sides, about 4 minutes per side.
Transfer browned chicken to the crockpot. Add chicken broth and 0.5 cup of flour, whisking to combine and thicken the broth.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours until chicken is tender.
About 15 minutes before serving, whisk heavy cream with remaining flour and stir into crockpot. Cook uncovered until gravy thickens.
Serve chicken with the creamy gravy over mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
For best results, use fresh chicken and homemade broth. Adjust seasonings to taste before serving.
