Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Mix in the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in thoroughly.
Add the flour and gently fold in until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Fold in the chocolate chips last, distributing evenly throughout the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer preservation.
