In a bowl, combine chipotle peppers, minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
Place the flank steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, making sure to coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
