Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and lime juice to create the marinade.
Coat the flank steak evenly with the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
In a bowl, combine diced avocados, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro to make the avocado salsa.
Serve the sliced steak topped with the avocado salsa.
Notes
For extra heat, add diced jalapenos to the avocado salsa. Leftover steak makes great tacos the next day.
