Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add chicken pieces and cook until fully cooked through and lightly browned, about 6-8 minutes.
Push the chicken to one side of the skillet and pour in the beaten eggs. Scramble until cooked.
Add the cooked jasmine rice and stir well to combine with chicken and eggs.
Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil, then mix well to evenly coat the rice.
Stir in chopped basil leaves, green onions, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
For best flavor, use freshly cooked rice and fresh basil. Adjust the soy sauce to taste if you prefer it less salty.
