  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 pcs eggs beaten
  • 0.5 cup green onions chopped
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add chicken pieces and cook until fully cooked through and lightly browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Push the chicken to one side of the skillet and pour in the beaten eggs. Scramble until cooked.
  • Add the cooked jasmine rice and stir well to combine with chicken and eggs.
  • Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil, then mix well to evenly coat the rice.
  • Stir in chopped basil leaves, green onions, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

For best flavor, use freshly cooked rice and fresh basil. Adjust the soy sauce to taste if you prefer it less salty.
