Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add chicken pieces to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 6-8 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.
Reduce heat to low and stir in the basil pesto. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, garnish with fresh basil leaves and a squeeze of lemon juice.
