  • 8 oz goat cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for coating
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for greasing the pan

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  • Shape the goat cheese into small bite-sized balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Set up a dredging station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and black pepper in the third.
  • Coat each goat cheese ball first in flour, then in egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture. Place onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with honey or balsamic glaze for a delightful contrast.
