Instructions
Preparation Steps
Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
In a bowl, mix bread cubes, celery, onion, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Pour the melted butter and chicken broth over the bread mixture and stir well.
Spread the stuffing mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and stuffing is tender.
Remove chicken and shred it or slice; mix with stuffing before serving.
Notes
For a crispier top, transfer the stuffing to an oven-safe dish and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes after crockpot cooking.
