Bright, boozy, and berry-forward, this whiskey strawberry lemonade blends fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and smooth whiskey into a refreshing pitcher drink. Make it in minutes with a blender and add a splash of club soda for fizz.
In a large pitcher, combine the strawberries and sugar. Stir well and let sit 5 minutes until the berries release some juice.
Transfer the strawberries and any juices to a blender. Add the lemon juice and 1.0 cup of the cold water. Blend until completely smooth.
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve back into the pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
Stir in the whiskey and the remaining 1.0 cup cold water. Add the ice and stir until well chilled.
To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the strawberry whiskey lemonade. Top each glass with a splash of club soda if desired and garnish with sliced strawberries, a lemon slice, and a mint sprig.
Taste and adjust to preference: add a bit more water for a lighter sip or a touch more sugar for extra sweetness.
Notes
Use a smooth bourbon for a rounder flavor or rye for a spicier kick. For make-ahead, prepare through straining and stir in whiskey just before serving. Keep the base chilled up to 24 hours.
