  • 1.5 cups ricotta cheese whole milk ricotta preferred
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese or cheese blend
  • 2 cups marinara sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 9 sheets lasagna noodles uncooked
  • 2 cups chopped vegetables like zucchini, spinach, and mushrooms

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta and mozzarella cheese.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Layer uncooked noodles, a portion of the ricotta mixture, chopped vegetables, and sauce. Repeat layers.
  • Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the vegetables in this recipe by adding your favorites, like bell peppers or eggplant for extra flavor.
