Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon peppermint extract or more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 drops food coloring optional, your choice of color

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  • Gradually mix in the heavy cream, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Slowly add in the powdered sugar, about 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • If using, add the food coloring and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls, then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Gently flatten each ball with a fork.
  • Allow mints to dry at room temperature for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of peppermint extract to suit your taste. If you prefer a stronger mint flavor, add a little more extract.
