Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the blueberries.
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Notes
Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
