  • 1 packet French onion soup mix 1.4 ounces
  • 0.5 cup milk Whole milk recommended
  • 2 large eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese Additional for topping, if desired
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce For added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, French onion soup mix, milk, and eggs. Mix until just combined.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the mixture, then mix again until evenly distributed.
  • Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it into your crockpot.
  • Cook on low for 4 hours or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  • During the last 30 minutes of cooking, top with shredded Swiss cheese and cover to allow the cheese to melt.
  • Carefully remove the meatloaf from the crockpot and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
