Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the orzo and stir to coat the pasta with the oil and garlic.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Add the broccoli florets and reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce is creamy and the cheese is melted.
Notes
Feel free to add cooked chicken or shrimp to make this dish more hearty. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference.
