  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 12 ounces pasta such as penne or fusilli
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground, to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and sauté until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Add the cooked pasta, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Toss everything to combine and heat through.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add more cheese for extra creaminess or substitute with a different cheese of your choice for varied flavors.
