Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and begins to boil. Boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract. Pour into pre-baked pie shell.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding a drizzle of caramel sauce on top before serving.
