Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 pounds fresh jalapenos slice into rings
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 6 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot, bring apple cider vinegar, granulated sugar, garlic powder, turmeric, celery seed, and cayenne pepper to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the sliced jalapenos to the pot and bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 4 minutes.
  • Using a slotted spoon, transfer the jalapenos into clean canning jars. Pour the hot syrup over the jalapenos until fully submerged, leaving a 1/4 inch space from the top.

Notes

Allow jars to cool completely before tightening lids and storing in the refrigerator, or process jars in a hot water bath for 10 minutes for long-term storage.
