  • 8 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • 8 oz milk chocolate chopped
  • 8 oz white chocolate chopped
  • 6 cup heavy whipping cream divided
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract divided
  • 9 large egg whites at room temperature
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Melt each type of chocolate in separate bowls over a double boiler until smooth.
  • In three medium bowls, whip 2 cups of heavy cream with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Set aside.
  • Gently fold one-third of the whipped cream into each bowl of melted chocolate until well combined.
  • In a separate large bowl, beat the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.
  • Divide the beaten egg whites into three portions and fold each portion into the chocolate mixtures gently.
  • Layer the dark chocolate mousse in serving glasses, followed by the milk chocolate mousse, and finally, the white chocolate mousse.
  • Chill the assembled dessert for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, garnish with chocolate shavings or fresh berries before serving.
