  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract and egg.
  • Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Scoop cookie dough onto prepared baking sheet, about 1 tablespoon each. Flatten slightly. Add a small amount of cream cheese mixture on top, then cover with another tablespoon of cookie dough.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden. Cool on a wire rack.
