Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 9 oz cheese tortellini fresh or frozen
  • 8 oz ribeye steak thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or as needed
  • 1 cup onion sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers sliced, red or green
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 oz provolone cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and cook sliced steak until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add onions and bell peppers. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, allowing it to warm but not boil.
  • Add shredded provolone cheese gradually, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
  • Return steak to the skillet. Add cooked tortellini and toss to coat in the cheese sauce.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh tortellini and high-quality provolone cheese. Feel free to use more or less cheese based on your preference.
